Home vs Gym!

I did my cardio workout this morning and was feeling great! As I was waiting for the light to change, I this guy walking towards me and he was well... overweight.

So, I introduced myself and invited him to workout with me at our fit club. He was really excited, “WHERE AND IT’S FREE?” “ Yes it’s free!” I said with a smile on my face. I got his phone number and shook his hand. “I will give you a call to remind ok ?” “ OK THANK YOU!” I love what I do, I continued my workout and thought of all the people that I could help in my community like people at my grocery store and the offices around. Maybe I could help them too.
I believe, in my heart that greatness is not for just one person. It exists in all of us. Each one of you had the potential to become whatever you want to become.

If you want to become stronger, you have to start working out or lifting weights or using your own body weight ( if you can’t afford a gym).

Working out at home saves you time and money, you can also workout outside and that’s free people.

To even go to the gym, what do you have to do?
1. Wake up (duh)
2. Grab all your shower gear
3. Get the car(and gas maybe)
4. Drive to the gym
5. Wait for the machines
6. Deal with germs and other people not being clean
7. Pay for memberships every month ( that you may or may not use)
8. Drive back home

When you are at home
1. Wake up
2. Get dressed
3. Push play on your favorite dvd
4. No waiting
5. No Driving
6. No other people looking at you funny because you want to use “ THEIR” machine
7. No time wasted
8. No fees. No fees. No freakin fees!

You choose what you want to do. I talked to my cousin yesterday and he told me that a gym cost anywhere from $50-$150 a month! You mean like every month? Even the months you don’t use them….fees. Memberships. Blah blah blah..not for me. I used the money I saved to buy quality foods for my body.

Well people that’s it for today. Gonna get showered up and start helping people, because that I what I love to do. Peace- Coach Michael

Just finished my workout.

I went outside to play for an hour. I did pullups ups and pushups but the best part is that I did it with my shirt off. It wasn't always like this...I was fat and I hated it. When I was in the Army I was in tip top shape and then when I got out well I said to myself " Why bother?" So time went by, I changed from fit to flab in no time. It sucked, no energy, no drive, nothing. Just being lazy watching tv and eating all the bad crap I could drive-up to our by at the store. I was a junk food junkie.

I tried P90X and made it one month in 2008 came home and Tiyona saw me. "WOW! You look great!" Then after my vacation home. I got depressed becuase my wife was stateside and I was working 12 hour days so I left P90X alone....In Jan of 2010, we moved to Los Angeles and I said this time...I got it! Nope. Fail after one week. DAMN IT! Depressed. Again...failed P90X...again. May 2010 I got Insanity and low behold I actually made it all the way through! SUCCESS but P90X was still there...haunting me....almost LAUGHING AT ME!...Tony was just waiting to kick my ass. Fast forward April 2011. After 3 months of Shakeology, I went from 190lbs, to 170lbs. Shaun T came out with Insanity: The Asylum. I WON! I beat the Asylum! After beating Asylum, I went to the American Ninja Warrior course in Venice Beach for my birthday and waited all day..nope didn't get picked. I went home....Got up at 730 am and went again.

I WON THE LOTTERY to get on the course! I ran on the actual course! With Insanity: The Asylum under my belt I was feeling my best!...but P90X was still there. This monday, June 27, 2011 with the help of my support to success group. I will beat P90X too, I will beat Tony Horton and all his minions...I will succeed. 90 days to my freedom. Cheer me on.

My struggle.

I beat this one!

You are what you read...

Good Morning!

Do you have what it takes to finish your goals? The reasons why you want to get to a better life should become so solid that you cannot fail.

Developing a library of great books and reading 10 pages a day will change your life, your attitude and your burning desire to accomplish your dreams. We all have time to work on our personal development. So, when is the last time your read a book from start to finish? In my personal library, I have at least 20 great books and here are two of them that have impacted my life with a deep sense of self awarness. Take time out of your day to plan your week with reading. Just 10 pages a day = A book a month, 12 books of life changing information a year! Leaders are readers!

When you take the time to have a serious look at your life, understand that NO CONDITION IS PERMANENT. We all fail and we all succeed but when you get to the top (and I know you will) Are you going to have what it takes mentally to stay up there? Will you have those leaders before you who dedicated their lives with their literature..... in YOUR mind? The answer is up to YOU.

Don't read without understanding. That is useless. Applying what you read will have a greater impact on you and your journey. I can tell you all day to read, but you won't understand it until you EMBRACE the knowledge and apply in your own life.

Thanks for reading and I wish you the best.

Make your life and the lives of your children an amazing journey that you can share forever.
